FAQs about Dental Services

Are you accepting new patients?

Absolutely. Simply call and schedule an appointment for a comprehensive exam. We will answer all your questions, and go over your suggested treatment plan and pricing options.

What is involved in a comprehensive exam?

Our goal is to help you maintain optimal dental health. Dr. Mintalar and his staff will get to know you, and develop a care plan that suits your individual needs. We will talk with you about any concerns you have, and discuss the recommended treatment. If you have recent X-rays, we will transfer them to our office. If not, we will perform the necessary dental imaging to properly evaluate your dental and oral health. Our process is gentle, but thorough. We will present you with a treatment plan at the end of the visit, including cost, and will discuss payment options.

Are you a family practice?

Yes. We provide quality dental services for children and adults. In some cases, we might refer your child to a pediatric dentist. We do all we can to make children comfortable, while teaching them the importance of good dental hygiene. Our services also include complete orthodontics for children, teens and adults.

Do you screen for oral cancer?

We certainly do. Oral cancer is a serious threat, and early detection is key. We use state-of-the-art, non-invasive technology for screening. The oral cancer screening is done with a physical examination of the oral tissues and Vizilite. We perform visual screenings at every checkup to diagnose oral cancer during early stages before it becomes life threatening.

Do you provide cosmetic dentistry services?

Yes. We provide the latest cosmetic dentistry treatments. Some of our cosmetic dentistry services include teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and restorations. We also use non-metal fillings. Our office has the Cerec crown machine providing crowns and bridges in one visit.

I’m pregnant and need treatment. What should I do?

You can always come in for a visit, but we will recommend not taking X-rays unless a toothache is present and the X-rays will be taken using protective lead aprons. We encourage scheduling routine cleaning appointments during pregnancy as your oral health may change and a thorough examination and routine cleaning is important. Most procedures and treatments are safe for expecting moms.

Are all dentists certified and licensed?

Yes. Dr. Mintalar, his dental assistants and dental hygienists are highly trained and certified, fully licensed in the State of Minnesota

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major dental insurance providers. Please feel free to call our office if you have questions regarding your insurance. We also offer Care Credit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
